Accessorizing
Usually we meet at your house and assess your needs; I take measurements, digital photos (if necessary) and make a list. I determine the best retail stores to go to based on the look we are going for, budget and geographic location to you. I charge $ 75. an hour for this service, I am fair and extremely efficient. It has been said by many of my clients, that we accomplish so much in 3 hours and it would have taken them so much longer. I believe there are 2 reasons:
- Many times the accessorizing never gets done. I have gone back to many a home (after our window treatments have been installed) and my client will say, “I haven’t done anything since you left”. All of my clients are busy, whether they work outside the home or inside their day calendars are booked. Once we schedule a date, it becomes another date (but a fun one :)) on the calendar and it gets done.
- Since I am the driving force with my list, tape measure, ideas and just general idea of what we might be looking for, I really keep us moving and on task.
What I especially like about shopping retail is it affords us the luxury of returning items that don’t look good in your home. As you know, it is a rare custom item that can be returned so this gives us both instant gratification and flexibility.
