Most often it’s a simple matter of looking the room over and editing. Sometimes it’s as simple as moving a picture to a different room, grouping like items together, finding a place suitable for the gift from your dear aunt Bea. I work with you taking into consideration what is sentimental (perhaps there is a more appropriate room to put it in?) I look at your home with new eyes, I may even suggest that we move a piece of furniture in to a different room of the house, if I feel it would serve you and/or look better.
I want your home to represent you and your family, this is your retreat where you are with the people that are nearest and dearest to you and you should be surrounded by those items that are meaningful to you. Sometimes a piece that you loved or always used does not function for you, I may ask you to ask yourself, “Do you still use it or need it?”
I also have several eco friendly ways of helping you physically get rid of your stuff that no longer serves you. Whether you’d like to give it away or sell it, I have very easy sources. You are going to love it!
The fee for this service will commensurate with the project, I would come out and get an overall view and then we can discuss what would be a comfortable and fair compensation for me.
Have no fear, this is not “What not to wear” and I would never have you part with anything that you have attachment to. I may ask you about it, but at the end of the day, this is your house and I want you to feel completely comfortable and surrounded by your family and the things that make it feel like a home.
